Andy and I noticed after we got NetFlix that we now had access to five seasons of Lost. We never really got into it at the beginning, and by the time we tried watching a couple of episodes, we were way past the point where any of it made sense. So, we decided that even though we don't have a lot of time to devote to a TV show, we could devote one night per week to Lost. Alan and Whitney said that they were down with that, as well. So, for the past couple of months, we have been watching Lost once or twice per week--once during the week, and usually one weekend night. I know, it's nerdy, but I like it! Definitely not as intense as watching Jack Bauer save the world, but still pretty good! I have a feeling that if we want to be done with it any time in the next year, though, we are going to have to increase the number of nights that we devote to Lost. Hopefully we'll have some questions answered in the next season or two! Tuesday, April 27, 2010
We are hooked!

Baby Gus' Blessing Extravaganza
We flew out on Friday night and Saturday morning, we headed over to Addi's and Blake's to play with the boys and to meet sweet baby Gus.
For lunch, we went for Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches, and they were delicious, as usual. Then, we went to Golden Gate Park and rode paddleboats around the pond! It was awesome.
Sunday, we went to church for Gus' blessing and hung out at Addi's and Blake's for a while. Then, we went and checked out Muir Woods, a first for me, and we watched the sunset. It was so pretty! I'm glad that we were able to go and see that on our last visit to San Fran with the best tour guides/hosts ever!
Monday, we went on a tour of San Francisco in Go Cars. It was amazing! It was so much fun to drive around San Fran in a pack of three-wheeled cars! Some cars were faster than others, and luckily I didn't have to get out and push Andy up a hill like some people did!
The rest of the week, we played games with Addi, Blake, and the clan, had a Dancing with the Stars Party at the Hilton, went shopping at Union Square, ate at Mama's (of course!) and had some amazing Monte Cristo's, and had a great time! Thanks for the fun trip!

Mount Olympus
This weekend, Andy climbed Mt. Olympus with Bear and Alan. Andy thought that climbing the mountain would be a fairly easy undertaking, but when he got home, he let me know that he had been sorely mistaken. They climbed 4,000 feet in 3.5 miles to the summit, and he said that he felt like an old man by the time they got back down to the bottom because his knees hurt so bad. They did get some beautiful pictures of their excursion, though!

Weekend Getaway!
On Friday, I only had to work for half a day, so Andy and I decided to take Brookie, Bear, Bobbie and little Sophie along with us on a trip down to St. George! It was so nice to get away from the inversion for a couple of days. We took our bikes, of course, and got in a nice ride on Saturday.
We played a lot of Nertz and other card games, played with cute little Sophie, and watched some good movies.
Bobbie and Bear taught Brookie and I how to knit...it definitely caused some frustration, but I think we finally got the hang of it! We also went midnight putting, since we were staying right on a golf course. The moon was so bright that it was no problem to go out putting at 12:30. We hit the outlets and to the new addition to St. George: Brick Oven! We were so excited that they opened up a Brick Oven down there! We drove home on Sunday, but not before getting some tasty In-n-Out Burger! What a great weekend! Thanks guys!

Fall Break
We also had breakfast at Mama's and saw a Ferrari exhibit celebrating Columbus Day. We went to the Academy to celebrate Jack's birthday and had a lot of fun looking at all of the animals! Addi made some great cake that the boys really loved!

Our good weather streak officially came to an end on this trip, though. It rained a LOT! One day there was a torrential downpour, so Andy and I were able to go to the King Tutankhamen exhibit at the de Young Museum, and we saw Val Kilmer! Yes, that's right! Mad Mardigan in the flesh! I tried to get a picture of him, but I chickened out, so this one from Willow will have to do. We also had to go back the next day to take a picture because it was too stormy when we were there.
We also went shopping at Union Square and Paper Source, and hit In-n-Out Burger, which was delicious as always. We also went Virtual Bowling, and even though Addi and Blake were the winners, we still had a lot of fun!

One of our favorite new activities definitely had to be when we rented a Surrey and went for a ride past the de Young, the Academy, and the Conservatory! On our first trip down the hill, we got a flat tire, so we had to go and get another Surrey to try again! The second trip was more successful.
We were also lucky enough to be able to go and watch Jack's gymnastics lesson! That little guy is going to be good!
We couldn't have thought of a better way to spend Fall Break! Thanks BAMJ for letting us visit! We'll see you again soon!

Happy Birthday!
Today is Andy's birthday, and I wanted to tell him Happy Birthday! Andy had his last final today, so I went up the Pearl Izumi outlet in Park City to get him some birthday presents. We had lunch from the Soup Kitchen when he finished with his final, and then went out to Bountiful for dinner at El Matador. It's so nice that he has so much family around and that they are always so supportive! It was fun to see everyone! After dinner, we drove out to Island Park to meet up with my fam, who was staying there for the weekend. I really appreciate Andy and the hard work that he puts into school and work for our little family! He is such a blessing in my life! Love you Andy! Happy birthday!
